Overview

The Marketing Assistant Temporary provides administrative support to the Marketing Department, including coordinating meetings and conferences/travel, receiving and responding to typical and non-routine correspondence, campaign support, handling of confidential and sensitive information requested. This position works with internal and external contacts at multiple levels within the organization.  

 

This position is a temporary full time opportunity that will go through the end of the year. 

 

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following: 

  • Place book orders for marketing review copies
  • Create and track campaign promo codes
  • Work with freelancers to assign projects and prepare freelancer contracts as needed.
  • Schedule social media posts for conferences, products, and campaigns
  • Create Twitter cards and other social media graphics
  • Schedule and optimize blog posts as needed
  • Schedule, plan, and execute logistics of webinars
  • Webinar customer support during and after the webinar: responding to questions, running polls, managing chat window, sending certificate of completion
  • Maintain inventory of marketing collateral
  • Monitor info@corwin.com inbox
  • Maintain various reports as needed
  • Campaign support, including proofreading, creating surveys, entering edits in Dreamweaver or InDesign, and entering products into marketing materials
  • Tracking campaign stats as needed
  • Submit check requests as needed
  • Meeting support: set up, scheduling, and notetaking
  • Submit vanity URL requests
  • Create author flyers and small advertisements as needed
  • Photocopying, shipping, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed

Qualifications & Education

Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • A strong interest in marketing, communications, or publishing preferred
  • College degree or related experience required
  • Proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior planning, organization, and prioritization skills
  • Familiarity with various social media channels
  • Experience with Sprout Social a plus (can be trained)
  • HTML experience a plus (can be trained)
  • Dreamweaver experience a plus (can be trained)
  • InDesign experience a plus (can be trained
