The Professional Learning Intern is responsible the customer service, invoice processing, reporting functions, and various projects to support Corwin events and key programs.  

The Professional Learning Intern works out of our office in Thousand Oaks. This position is part-time (17-25 hours per week) during normal business hours (8-5, M-F). Open to students only.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Project coordination will include:

  • Use of technology that includes CVENT, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Adobe Acrobat, and Google Apps

  • Customer service and event registration support

  • Compiling payment reconciliation reports for Accounts Receivable

  • Processing payments for event vendors and consultants
  • Updating internal reference codes, reference sheets, and frequently asked questions documents.
  • Responds promptly to internal and external emails and telephone calls related to events.
  • Updates event-related information in the CVENT web platform, as needed.
  • Assists in the production, collation, and shipping of participant materials (program, name tags, completion certificates, other), for each event.
  • Maintains the appropriate inventory of supplies and audiovisual equipment for each event.
  • Assists the Professional Learning team with general project management, research, and administrative tasks as needed.


Qualifications & Education

Includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Corporate event experience in project coordination/management, event planning, or administration highly preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; highly organized and detail oriented a must.
  • Demonstrated excellence in working with others.
  • Broad knowledge of, and experience with, computer programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as professional learning, web, and social networking tools required.
