Leading academic and educational publishing company requires a Project Manager to provide project management for a UK and Global based project within an inhouse IT department. This position is responsible for managing and supporting a Business Change Management project within a Global Program.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Ownership of the project, the business processes and related systems being affected
  • Assumes responsibility for achieving project objectives delivered within scope on time and under budgetary constraints
  • Monitors Project progress and accuracy during the project Development Life-cycle.
  • Translate management vision and work requests into appropriate formal documentation
  • Facilitates review meetings with stakeholders, change request process
  • Enforces project methodology and documentation standards
  • Identifies, monitors and manages project issues and risks, escalating when appropriate
  • Ensures project deliverables are clearly defined and understood by team members
  • Manages project tasks and resource allocation, monitors project progress
  • Ensures all project tasks are planned at appropriate detail and reflect accurate task estimates
  • Ensures regular communication sessions with the other Project Managers, Program Directors and Executive Sponsor(s).
  • Embrace and ensure continuous improvement techniques are applied to all aspects of the project

Qualifications & Education

Include, but not limited to, the following:
• 2+ years direct experience in Project Management within the IT sector
• PMP/Prince 2 qualified or similar
• Change Management experience desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, highly organized, detail oriented
• Ability to lead planning workshops, poven team management experience
• High level of competence with MS Project, MS Visio, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Knowledge of Project Management concepts
