The Associate Marketing Manager will develop and implement creative marketing and sales strategies for promoting professional learning services, resources, and events internationally and domestically. In conjunction with the Senior Marketing Manager, this individual will work closely with marketing, sales, and editorial teams located in several regions of the world to create multi-channel marketing strategies aimed at increasing reach and driving leads, sales, and efficiencies.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

Marketing Planning and Implementation

  • Develop and implement marketing and distribution plans for assigned international territories, professional learning services, and resources
  • Be adept at using and managing a variety of marketing strategies including email campaigns, direct mail, advertising (print and web), social media, PR and lead generation campaigns
  • Work with international partners to implement co-marketing initiatives
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team to launch and promote domestic products and services into international territories, and be able to adjust content to the local context of each assigned territory
  • Administer monthly meetings with international counterparts to discuss marketing plans, results, and sales opportunities


Campaign Management

  • Plan/develop/implement effective marketing campaigns on schedule and within budget
  • Manage the development of catalogs, brochures, emails, landing pages, and other marketing and sales collateral for assigned regions
  • Be able to develop and adapt marketing content (white papers, case studies, infographics, etc.) as appropriate for each assigned territory
  • Oversee all campaign content, accuracy, and proofing for assigned territories, ensuring it is appropriate for the local context
  • Use marketing automation software to grow and maintain the international marketing database and to nurture leads and help guide prospects through the buying journey through trigger campaign
  • Manage in-house lists, research external lists, and develop strategies for increasing international lists
  • Write engaging content for promotions that support global business objectives and adhere to established brand guidelines and voice



  • Identify media opportunities in assigned regions and send books to reviewers
  • Establish and manage relationships with key media contacts in Australia and Canada, as directed


Conventions and Events

  • Create marketing plans to drive attendance to Corwin events and to follow up with leads
  • Coordinate creation of the schedule of international events and update convention schedule regularly
  • Manage marketing aspects of international conventions, including title selection, marketing collateral, and signage
  • Plan strategies to maximize booth traffic via promotions and advertising


Market Research and Analysis

  • Continually develop knowledge of the global education and professional learning markets and understand the nuances between various international regions
  • Conduct research to understand which marketing practices and mediums are most effective in each region
  • Stay abreast of competitors and their marketing strategies, popular industry publications, and events
  • Analyze marketing response and data in order to make adjustments to strategies


Qualifications & Education

  • BA/BS degree required
  • 2 years of experience in a marketing role required
  • Copyediting and writing in American and British English required
  • Email, online marketing, and marketing automation experience required
  • Adept at Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • 2 years of educational publishing experience preferred
  • Hubspot and Salesforce experience preferred
  • International marketing experience is preferred
  • Professional written and verbal communication
  • Experience effectively implementing campaigns across all of the promotional mixes
  • Superior planning and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of the global K-12 education system is a plus
