To perform a broad range of administrative duties for the Managing Director as well to provide administrative support to members of the Sales team. 



  • Assisting the Managing Director and members of the Sales team by providing administrative services.
  • Responsible for providing internal and external customer service and acting as the liaison between Corwin and a lead content Author.
  • This position requires contact with all members of the Senior Management group, Home Office and offsite employees and outside business professionals and vendors and community involvement.
  • This position must have solid knowledge of the company’s organization, policies, procedures, practices and personnel. Must be highly organized and able to work with minimal supervision as well as possess a high degree of professionalism and keen ability to maintain confidentiality.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Making appointments and updating computer schedule for Managing Director and Sales team members.
  • Act as internal customer service support for the sales team, including but not limited to generating reports, assisting with contracting and invoicing procedures and booking sales consultant travel.
  • Work closely with a Corwin Author to coordinate their event schedule, as well as the travel and all logistics associated with delivering these events.
  • Receiving and screening telephone calls and visitors
  • Maintaining and updating confidential employee files including executive files
  • Setting up new employee personnel files and coordinating appropriate paperwork and details for new employee orientation
  • Composing correspondence to routine issues on own initiative
  • Preparation of M.D.'s expense reports
  • Arranging and coordinating group meetings for Sales initiatives
  • Scheduling and coordinating details of the weekly and monthly company meetings
  • Ordering departmental supplies
  • Preparing routine departmental reports
  • Special projects, i.e. preparation of various certificates for company functions, ordering and maintaining inventory of new hire employee gifts and assembling of goodie bags for new hires, etc.
  • Experienced in producing executive-level travel briefs
  • Experience liaising and collaborating with senior level stakeholders (both internally and externally), and the ability to distill a large amount of data into meaningful information for different audiences

Qualifications & Education

  • 5-8 years experience as an Executive Assistant or similar administrative roles
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, time sensitive, customer oriented, highly confidential environment where there are continually changing priorities.
  • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft office products, SalesForce, Microsoft Dynamics etc.
  • Experience with the Education industry preferred.
