Overview

The Project Analyst will be responsible for the project management and business analysis needed to ensure the smooth release of new online products and enhancements to existing online products. This includes writing project plans, preparing requirements, coordinating resources, managing costs and vendor relationships and ultimately ensuring that the releases are delivered on time and within budget.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Management of new product development and other projects through the project lifecycle, including writing and coordinating requirements with business units, planning and implementing schedules and budgets, harmonizing critical paths for multiple projects, and adhering to timetables, requirements, and budgets. 
  • Coordinating maintenance efforts of existing websites and production systems including, customer support and enhancement requests.
  • Managing business and development relationships with internal units and external vendors.
  • Designing production environments and workflows, and assisting in integrating products within an overall electronic publishing framework.
  • Preparing technical specification documents, status reports, and internal support documentation.
  • Reporting on and prioritizing development issues with the vendor

Qualifications & Education

  • At least five years experience developing commercial electronic products and/or marketing web sites, preferably in the publishing industry, including extensive experience in carrying out the kinds of responsibilities identified in this document.
  • Project management and busniss analyst experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing project plans and requirements documents
  • Proven ability to manage and lead on online projects from concept to release.
  • Experience using Atlassian products – especially JIRA and Confluence a plus.
  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience
