    SAGE is currently seeking a Business Development Manager, Partner Relations to be based in the Thousand Oaks, CA, Washington, DC or a work from home office. This position is responsible for re-defining the SAGE partnership with college stores to increase overall sell-through of SAGE Products, drive inclusive access with bookstore channel, increase sell-through of Digital Products, create best in class service level program for bookstore channel, and represent SAGE at national and regional industry tradeshow/association meetings providing a clear and consistent message

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Work with Director, eBook and Channel Sales and set strategy for college store engagement and oversee execution
    • Assist College sales in account-specific situations (developing specific strategies to resolve situations with the goal of maximizing sales)
    • Monitor market trends that impact our business and be the SAGE authority on the market
    • Leverage market knowledge to inform SAGE distribution strategies and execution and to help drive SAGE strategies (e.g., Digital adoptions, Inclusive Access, etc.)
    • Cultivate productive, high-level relationships with key store associations (e.g., NACS, ICBA, CRA, CACS)
    • Manage SAGE college store association convention strategy to reflect and support current company goals
    • Prepare and deliver presentations and webinars at national and local college store conferences to further SAGE goals
    • Working with Director, eBooks and Channel Sales, write and submit articles for publication to major college resource/associations (e.g, ICBA, NACS college store magazine and The Hub, etc.)
    • Working with L&D team, create webinars, collateral, presentations and other resources as needed to help in training higher ed sales force
    • Oversee creation and messaging, collateral and training on relevant SAGE strategies and products to be used at conferences and by sales teams to drive strategic initiatives
    • Develop new, best in class, service level program for bookstores
    • Working with eCommerce team, create a powerful College Store Affiliate program that allows Independent stores to drive digital sales direct to SAGE in exchange for commission
    • Manage partner relationships, as needed

    Qualifications & Education

    • BA/BS degree required
    • Minimum 5 years work experience
    • 3+ years’ experience working with higher education channel partners and bookstores
    • Adept in Microsoft Office programs Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Professional written and verbal communication skills
    • Proven project management and presentation skills
    • Superior planning and organizational skills
