  • Overview

    This position is as part of the Fulfilment & Finance development team. The role will focus premdominately on the finance applications.You will be supporting and developing a range of our financial applications including Epicor, PROACTIS and TaxWare. Candidates should be willing and able to manage and enhance a variety of support tasks as needed including regular operational activities. In addition the candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining and upgrading SAGE’s finance systems and will be a project resource for new developments and system enhancements involving complex configuration on newly implemented finance systems

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Investigate potential problems and issues raised by finance users
    • Communicate regularly with finance users, finance business analysts and technical staff to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.
    • Install, deploy and upgrade finance systems and apply required system service packs
    • Ensure finance security and privacy policy follows best practices. Provide required security information for audits.
    • Act as a project resource for finance system enhancements and developments
    • Undetake regular financial operational activities
    • Research, recommend and develop automated solutions for manual finance activities

    Qualifications & Education

    • Background in developing/ configuring financial applications
    • Strong understanding of SQL Server 2008R2/ 2014
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
    • Minimum 2 years experience developing with SQL Server (TSQL)
    • Minimum 2 years experience of administering finance systems
    • Experience of working with a Credit Card payment gateway (desirable)
    • Understanding of SSIS 2008R2/ 2014 (desirable)
    • Good analytical problem solving skills
