  • Overview

    This paid internship is an opportunity for a college student to work in a corporate marketing office. It will offer broad-based education on various marketing strategies and tactics. Tasks will vary day to day and will assist College Marketing Department in the implementation of marketing materials and programs developed by the department.


    As part of the College Marketing team, the Intern will gain insight into product marketing and marketing strategies at an international publishing company that will be invaluable experience for anyone seeking future employment in publishing, social media, marketing or other related areas.

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:


    • Assist with implementation of various marketing campaigns, and strategies, including editing or writing copy, pulling content, and making suggestions for improvement
    • Learn and utilize various marketing systems as directed
    • Create/update flyers and other promotional materials
    • Support the Marketing team with preparation and execution of our National Sales Meeting
    • Conduct market research or competitive analysis
    • Organize and prepare marketing materials for convention shipments
    • Create and update web sites as assigned
    • Research and suggest content for various Social Media platforms
    • Perform other duties as assigned 



    Qualifications & Education

    Required Qualifications:

    • Candidates must be a current student pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Marketing, Communications, or related program
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs 


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to be detailed oriented while  juggling multiple tasks
    • Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills
