  • Overview

    The Corporate Events Intern position provides clerical and administrative support for a busy Corporate Events/Community Relations department. This position is intended to provide exposure to a variety of areas within Corporate Events and the overall enhancement of a positive work experience for our employees.


    This internship is scheduled to  start in early September and may be extended into the spring semester. Candidates MUST be current students able to work out of our office in Thousand Oaks, California. 

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

    • Research hotels, vendors, florists, caterers, etc.
    • Source party favors, gifts, giveaways, etc.
    • Produce labels, nametags, certificates, etc.
    • Order décor items, party favors, gifts, giveaways, etc.
    • Assemble gift bags, party favors, etc.
    • Manage rooming list changes
    • Prepare check requests
    • Organize storage closets
    • Communicate to internal and external clients and colleagues with a high level of professionalism and positivity
    • Maintain the organization of event files and create new folders as needed
    • Assist with the set-up and clean-up of company sponsored functions and events
    • Work on special projects and tasks as assigned  
    • File, photocopy, and other clerical tasks as needed 

    Qualifications & Education

    Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

    • Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a degree in event planning, marketing, business, or related fields.
    • Prior experience working with internal and external customers preferred
    • Professional and positive verbal and written communication skills
    • Knowledge in the Microsoft suite of products
    • Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
    • Prior office experience preferred
