  • Overview

    The Professional Learning Events Intern position is responsible for the customer service and reporting functions for Corwin events.  This internship is paid, part time (20-25 hours per week during normal office hours). This position is scheduled to start in mid-August and may be extended into the spring semester. Candidates MUST be current students able to work out of our office in Thousand Oaks, California.

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Customer service and event registration support
    • Creating event and institute surveys
    • Update internal reference codes, reference sheets, and frequently asked questions documents
    • Manage the Corwin Institute in-box
    • Respond promptly to internal and external emails and telephone calls
    • Assist in the customer registration process and act as the primary point person for customer inquiries related to events
    • Update event-related financial and attendee information as needed
    • Assist in the production, collation, and shipping of participant materials for each event.
    • Maintain the appropriate inventory of supplies and audiovisual equipment for each event
    • Assist the Professional Learning team with general project management, research, and administrative tasks as needed

    Qualifications & Education

    Includes, but is not limited to, the following:

    • Must be a current student working toward the completion of an undergraduate or graduate degree at an accredited college or university (required)
    • Professional verbal and written communication skills
    • Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
    • Knowledge of Microsoft suite products
    • Prior office and event experience preferred
