The role of the Marketing Manager, Commercial Sales is to strategically plan and implement effective marketing initiatives in support of the Commercial Sales team and their goals to retain and grow commercial revenue streams for SAGE Journals, conferences and other ancillary products. The marketing manager will promote SAGE Commercial Sales products to marketers and advertisers who work primarily within the pharmaceutical, device manufacturer, and hospital markets. The Marketing Manager will utilize a high volume of digital marketing, and may also strategize and implement social media activities. Marketing initiatives will be implemented through direct promotional efforts and the creation of marketing/sales tools for the sales team.
The position requires 3-5+ years of experience in targeted direct response marketing and analysis, as well as budgeting and forecasting. Marketing experience in B2B advertising, agency, and publishing experience is strongly preferred. Knowledge in the Science, Technology and Medicine (STM) markets is a plus.
