  • Overview

    The Video Producer works directly with other Producers and Video Editors to create innovative and pedagogically appropriate videos for SAGE through creative storytelling, whether for products or internal use. The Producer will also plan all logistics, call-sheets, and edit notes/graphics for field shoot filming. Must be able to juggle many projects simultaneously. Strong script writing and copy editing skills required.  Keen attention to detail needed. The Producer must also be able to serve as second videographer as needed.

    Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

    • Produce and deliver video content including animations, whiteboard, live action, marketing, sizzle reels, and original production, organizing and executing video projects from inception to completion
    • Together with the Executive Video Producer and Senior Video Producer, translate the pedagogical and marketing aims of internal stakeholders into quality videos
    • Field produce multiple, concurrent project shoots video shoots in and around Washington, D.C., and at conferences and other video events on the East Coast, liaising with the Production Coordinator to organize and schedule vendors as needed
    • Manage the pre-production and planning of shoots, providing clear and timely briefs to interviewees, production vendors, and internal stakeholders, and provide support at selected project shoots, conducting interviews as needed
    • Effectively supervise projects, collaborating with in-house staff and working closely with outside vendors, videographers, and production houses
    • Communicate effectively and efficiently with various stakeholders in a larger production process
    • Write scripts and copyedit other Producers’ scripts to develop the best production approach
    • Man a stationary C 100 camera as required

    Qualifications & Education

    • Extensive and recent experience –preferably 4 or more years- in video production
    • Strong creative perspective and show reel demonstrating variety of video types
    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
    • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
    • Adobe Premiere Pro editing skills
