Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Significantly contribute to the financial statement packages, schedules, and dashboards provided to Executive and Senior Management level forums.   Compile narratives around business results by conducting a detailed review with each analyst to ensure the variance analyses truly explain, not just recap, the source of variances and articulate insights based upon them.
  • Prepare detailed analyses of divisional, business line, and product line P&Ls, demonstrating deep insights into revenue drivers, cost drivers, and the key performance indicators that relate to each.
  • Through cross functional collaboration, establish meaningful and measurable key performance indicators that will inform improvements to efficiency, risk mitigation, cost control, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence. Develop and implement dynamic Power BI enabled dashboards.
  • Participate in and facilitate planning and forecasting processes; ensure alignment with planning assumptions by business unit over various planning horizons.
  • Prepare, analyze, and communicate the results of various recurring reports including product P&Ls, gross profit reporting, and business line P&Ls.
  • Perform substantive variance analyses that provide insights to facilitate decisions around new business opportunities and refinement of current business models.
  • Deliver upon any ad-hoc projects and strategic analyses, including, but not limited to, asset acquisition due diligence, deliverables for Strategic Planning Conference forums, Executive Committee meeting, roadmap projects, and departmental projects.
  • As needed, track and analyze sales and earned revenue variances for products using COGNOS reporting from fulfillment systems by tracing revenue recorded into the general ledger. Validate accuracy of revenue accruals and monitor adjustments as needed.
  • Work closely with internal technical resources on maintenance and continuous improvement of systems and tools, including resolving data integrity issues.
  • Source and reconcile data from multiple systems to create meaningful analyses and timely deliverables on an ad-hoc basis, often with relatively tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate with others to improve data management processes and tools.
  • Pursue timely and effective change management practices for system and manual process improvements.
  • Maintain clear and very detailed procedures so they may be replicated.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance required.
  • CPA or CMA highly preferred.
