Corwin seeks a Marketing Manager, Corwin Events, to develop and implement creative marketing and sales strategies for promoting in-person and virtual professional learning events. This individual will work closely with marketing, sales, and event teams to create multi-channel marketing strategies aimed at increasing event attendance and nurturing leads for the sales team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about event marketing and will be able to create marketing strategies using current and creative approaches.

This position is based in a remote home office anywhere in the U.S. and is available immediately. Occasional travel for event planning and execution may be required.

The position is advertised as a Marketing Manager position; however, we encourage qualified candidates of varying levels of experience to apply. The final position offered to the successful candidate may range from Associate Marketing Manager to Marketing Manager to Senior Marketing Manager, depending on the candidate’s qualifications and level of experience.

Marketing Planning and Implementation:

• Develop and implement marketing and distribution plans for events business line
• Be adept at using and managing a variety of marketing strategies including email campaigns, direct mail, advertising (print and web), social media, PR, and lead generation campaigns
• Work with external partners to implement co-marketing initiatives
• Collaborate with a cross-functional teams to launch and promote new or recurring professional learning events and meet registration goals
• Administer monthly meetings with international counterparts to discuss marketing plans, results, and sales opportunities
• Manage marketing aspects of events, including title selection, marketing collateral, and signage
• Plan strategies to maximize on-site engagement via promotions, advertising, and social media

Campaign Management:

• Plan/develop/implement effective marketing campaigns on schedule and within budget
• Manage the development of catalogs, brochures, emails, landing pages, and other marketing and sales collateral for assigned regions
• Oversee all campaign content, accuracy, and proofing, ensuring it is appropriate for each event
• Use marketing automation software to drive new and returning institute registrations and follow up leads for sales team counterparts
• Manage in-house lists, research external lists, and develop strategies for improving targeting
• Write engaging content for promotions that support global business objectives and adhere to established brand guidelines and voice

Market Research and Analysis:

• Continually develop knowledge of the education and professional learning markets
• Conduct research to understand which marketing practices and mediums are most effective
• Stay abreast of competitors and their marketing strategies, popular industry publications, and events

• Analyze marketing response and data to adjust strategies

Travel:

• Attend 2-3 onsite events per year

• 3+ years of marketing or event management experience, K-12 highly preferred
• Experience developing & executing successful multi-channel marketing campaigns
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Adept at using marketing automation platforms
• Strong communication, organization, and writing skills
