Overview

The Senior Financial Analyst will have primary responsibility over all headcount tracking and staff cost analysis globally and will provide monthly P&L variance analysis for expense lines. The Senior Financial Analyst will also manage the compilation of the monthly Executive Dashboard and other related analyses.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Work with the UK-based FP&A Analyst responsible for headcount tracking but lead the efforts in global analysis and reporting related to headcount and staff costs.
  • Conduct bi-weekly payroll reconciliations for the North America and Australia entities. Coordinate monthly reconciliations with international subsidiaries. Produce headcount life cycle tracking to facilitate the budgetary controls around staffing changes for all entities.
  • Respond to queries that are staff costs or headcount related; work closely with Payroll Accounting and HR, as needed, to respond to these queries.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of Executive Dashboard metrics and implement efficiencies in how the data is gathered and published.
  • Work closely with internal technical resources on maintenance and continuous improvement of systems and tools.
  • Source and reconcile data from multiple systems to create meaningful analyses.
  • Collaborate with others to improve data management processes and tools.
  • Pursue timely and effective change management practices for system and manual process improvements.
  • Maintain clear and very detailed procedures so they may be replicated.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications & Education

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum of 10 years related work experience.
  • Excellent computer skills and software proficiency, including MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Outlook.
  • Well versed in creating pivots and utilizing Excel “vlookup”, “hlookup”, “sumif”, and “sumproduct” functions.

  • Must demonstrate conscientiousness and high attention to detail.

  • Open mindedness and flexibility to adjust to fluid prioritization of tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with others.

  • Proactive in asking questions and seeking input from others.
  • High comfort level with manual processes that require forethought and planning to execute.
  • Aptitude for learning and developing new procedures.
  • Discrete and able to maintain confidentiality, particularly given the sensitivity of data this role will directly manage.

Compensation at SAGE is influenced by several factors, including but not limited to skill set, nature and level of experience, qualifications, and other relevant considerations. We anticipate the minimum full-time salary range for this position to be between $92,000 to $115,300 annually. Please note that the compensation details listed in U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses or benefits. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range and additional aspects of the compensation/benefits package for this position during the hiring process.
