Overview

OVERVIEW

 

The Corporate Events and HR part-time intern temporary position provides clerical and administrative support for a busy Corporate Events/Community Relations and HR department. This position is intended to provide exposure to a variety of areas within Corporate Events and HR focusing on overall enhancement of a positive work experience resulting in optimal employee experience and a sense of inclusion for our employees.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

The job functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

Events Related Job Responsibilities:

  • Research vendors to create RFP’s (Request for Proposal) for various Sage events
  • Tabulate results from RFP’s and build spreadsheets with data for collaborators
  • Track and manage RSVP lists for on-site and off-site events
  • Source, confirm budget, and place orders for event related items including, but not limited to décor, party favors, gifts, giveaways, etc.
  • Produce collateral materials as needed. Including, but not limited to producing labels, nametags, event attendee listings, and certificates
  • Identify caterers/vendors that align with Sage’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion strategy
  • Organize/analyze data collected through MS Forms
  • Assist with planning company sponsored local and regional connection events as well as the set-up and clean-up of in-person events
  • Communicate with a high level of professionalism and positivity
  • Maintain the organization of event files and create new folders as needed
  • Work on special projects (Sage Ventura County Spelling Bee, Books for Schools Grant, Sage Give Back with Backpacks, Sage meetings, etc.)
  • Print, file, photocopy, and other clerical tasks as needed when on-site
  • Flexibility to work in a hybrid role both on at our Thousand Oaks office as well as off site from a home office. This position requires the ability to work on-site on pre-determined TBD day/s each week.

HR Related Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist the recruiting function by posting advertisements on job boards, scheduling interviews, etc.
  • Promptly schedule phone, video, panel, and in-person interviews with attention to detail and process
  • Implement interview scheduling with accuracy and with the goal of creating a positive experience for hiring teams and candidates
  • Work on special projects and tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications & Education

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

 

Any combination equivalent to, but not limited to, the following:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a degree in event planning, marketing, business, Human Resources, or related fields.
  • Prior experience working with internal and external customers preferred
  • Professional and positive verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge in the Microsoft suite of products
  • Able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail
  • Prior office experience preferred
  • Must be able to work approximately 20-24 hours per week

Compensation at Sage is influenced by several factors, including but not limited to skill set, nature and level of experience, qualifications, and other relevant considerations. We anticipate the minimum full-time hourly pay rate for this role is $16.00. Please note that the compensation details listed in U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include bonuses or benefits.
