This temporary position is part of the Technology Governance and Innovation team within Global Technology. The successful temporary will be specifically focused on accelerating the migrations of SharePoint-2013 (SP-13) sites to SharePoint in the Microsoft Cloud (SP-MC), though some SharePoint 2007 (SP-07) work also may be required. This is a temporary assignment for 5-8 months, depending on the sustained work load.
The successful candidate will coordinate and/or conduct specific assigned migrations and document the related standard SAGE migration practices and specific site work practices managed in SharePoint. This latter task is baseline expert user and end-user guidance, generally in PowerPoint, rather than formal technical documentation.
Candidates should be self-motivated and have an analytical approach with excellent attention to detail. The role requires frequent communication across SAGE which should be conducted in a professional and courteous manner. In particular, the candidate must be able to communicate technical content in a straightforward way to non-technical and untrained content coordinators in SAGE user departments.
The Marketing Assistant for Library Marketing is responsible for supporting and executing on directives given by Library Marketing Managers, to benefit strategic Library Marketing Initiatives. This position is expected to complete administrative tasks, assist in projects, and be responsible for designated support efforts, to be completed accurately and on time. This job requires the ability to juggle multiple tasks and be able to deal with varying work styles and requests. We are looking for a candidate that will be able to work, in-house, at our Thousand Oaks Conejo office.
This position is responsible for the financial and editorial management of society journals in a select discipline or disciplines. Responsibilities also include development and negotiation of agreements for ancillary products related to existing publications. The Associate Publishing Editor position is expected to manage a workload of approximately 10-15 titles, but quantity may vary.
The Video Producer works directly with other Producers and Video Editors to create innovative and pedagogically appropriate videos for SAGE through creative storytelling, whether for products or internal use. The Producer will also plan all logistics, call-sheets, and edit notes/graphics for field shoot filming. Must be able to juggle many projects simultaneously. Strong script writing and copy editing skills required. Keen attention to detail needed. The Producer must also be able to serve as second videographer as needed.
The Video Production Coordinator focuses on the management of freelance vendors including sourcing and vetting freelance vendors, negotiating rates and contracts, coordinating services, and maintaining relationships. The Coordinator maintains an overview of work requests from Producers and Video Editors and secures resources for animation and video projects (both production and post-production) and other digital media projects. The role requires background in broadcast journalism or film studies as well as project management skills, with the ability to organize, implement, and coordinate multiple video shoots and projects that are requested by the Global Digital Production department.
The Editor II position is responsible for cultivating and managing a list of journals in an assigned discipline(s), as well as serve as our lead on department projects. This list may include proprietary and/or contract/leased journals. The Editor is expected to serve as SAGE’s primary liaison with journal editors and society partners. The editor will use this knowledge to help SAGE develop policies, practices, strategies and/or work products that serve their list’s needs. Project work will be assigned in conjunction with the HSS Publisher. A successful editor will help grow SAGE’s presence in their assigned discipline, and make valuable contributions to other departmental initiatives, like open access publishing, social media, or mentoring junior colleagues. This position will work directly in collaboration with the Publisher of HSS Journals to manage external relationships with key societies, as well as managing a list of titles within the US HSS Journals Editorial Department. This position is expected to provide guidance and support to key business partners, and to work with Publisher to build an Editorial presence in the DC Office.

The Director / Head of Product Management leads the product management team working on SAGE’s products in the Learning business, including SAGE Research Methods, SAGE Knowledge, SAGE Video, SAGE’s Business suite, SAGE Stats and data products, CQ Researcher and other CQ products. This team is responsible for the web roadmap delivery across all products and manages the cross-functional collaboration required to deliver our products to market.
The Director / Head of Product Management is responsible for internal processes that drive cross functional work to deliver new product modules as well as to set and manage the annual product priorities and development processes with our Publishing Technologies department and engineers.
The Director / Head of Product Management is also responsible for cross platform strategy for our library products, planning how we better use our data to optimise our user experience and increase user engagement. SAGE’s Discovery & Engagement group is part of this team: a group of IA, SEO, Library Discovery and Accessibilty experts who support all our library products, including SAGE Journals.
The Director / Head of Global Product Management will be part of the leadership team for SAGE’s Product Innovation group: A cross-functional team of Product, Editorial, Marketing and Technology experts delivering innovative commercial products to support the evolving needs of students and researchers in a digital age. Other products include SAGE Journals, SAGE Ocean’s portfolio and Lean Library.
Sales Representative visits colleges and universities within designated geographical territory. The Sales Representative interviews faculty members and assists them with matching our textbook and technology products to their course requirements. Key responsibilities include: conducting well-structured consultative sales calls, editorial prospecting, establishing relationships with faculty members and bookstore personnel, being able to manage and systematically work a large territory, successfully work sales opportunities resulting in course adoption for SAGE and CQ Press titles as well as maintaining our sales database (MSCRM).
Perform production tasks on selected journals while meeting established deadlines and maintaining high editorial quality.
The LMS Product Specialist plays a key role in supporting and advancing the development of various digital products that integrate with and compliment higher education Learning Management Systems (LMS). The person in this position is one of SAGE's LMS experts, consulting and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in the coordination, execution, testing, communication, and delivery of LMS-based digital products and content. The person in this role will have a strong understanding of instructional design principles and will collaborate with instructional designers depending on project needs.
