As part of the Library Sales team, this internship will provide corporate experience working with a busy sales team on a critical project for the department. This project will focus on the US Library Sales CRM update of the Institution Profile data including, but not limited to, Carnegie Classification, RingGold IDs, Naming standardization, etc.
This internship is paid, part time (20-25 hours per week during normal office hours). This position is for the current 2019 spring semester with the possibility of expanding into the summer. Candidates MUST be current students able to work out of our office in our Thousand Oaks, CA (remote work is not permitted).

The Field Editor, Library Sales is responsible for outreach, advocacy, market intelligence, and sales support to librarians and faculty in North America for SAGE digital products, including Research Methods, Business products, Reference, Data resources, and Video. The person in this position will also develop and carry out projects to assess new strategies to bolster sales of our digital products through our librarian and faculty customers.

The Contracts Administrator is primarily responsible for providing contract support for SAGE’s U.S. books publishing program. Such support includes contract review and drafting; preparing and tracking contributing author agreements for edited works; answering contract related questions and requests for assistance; and assisting with special projects upon request. The Contracts Administrator also provides contract trainings to internal teams, updates the company database(s), and helping create and maintain contract templates and training materials as requested.

The Library Sales Manager (LSM) is to play a key role in implementing a sales strategy for all SAGE imprints. Primary responsibilities will include new business prospecting and development; key account management; travel to meet in person for larger opportunities; all activities and responsibilities for managing communication and preparing reports for sales opportunities and forecast; and attendance at conferences and conventions. Additional responsibilities include managing the customer’s service experience with SAGE. The LSM will need to have a high-level of initiative and self-motivation, as well as ability to both lead and work as part of a team. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential. This position includes a minimum of 35-50% overnight travel and may require up to 3 weeks travel during pivotal selling times of 1-2 months per year.

The Field Sales Manager is responsible for two distinct, yet complementary, aspects of the library business: (1) Selling SAGE products primarily via in-person visits and achieving revenue targets within an assigned geography (DC, DE, MD, VA, WV); and (2) Developing market awareness of and developing distribution opportunities for SAGE’s newest and most significant product lines with established library customers, as well as with new customers operating in adjacent learning markets across North America. Key responsibilities include identifying prospects; calling upon library decision makers at the collection development and more senior executive levels; stabilizing troubled library accounts; analyzing the status of accounts and conducting financial analysis of accounts as required, including forecasts and accruals; and contributing to the streamlinging of departmental process that result in efficiencies and cost-savings to SAGE.

This full time hourly position is open to graduates who are interested in pursuing a career in publishing or product management. This entry level role will assist in the completion of various digital initiatives and projects. The role will work specifically with the Director of College Product Management, and other members of the team, to provide assistance in administrative tasks, scheduling, content system authoring/loading, and other duties to support the team’s projects. This role will learn about Higher Education publishing, digital product solutions and gain hands on experience in a digital product environment.

We are looking to hire a Product Sales Manager to join our expanding Quartex team.
This is a newly created position and an exciting time to join us as we look to grow our customer base in the US. Adam Matthew’s new Quartex platform is designed to facilitate archives’ management and open access publishing of our digital assets.
To be successful in this role it's essential that you are both confident and results-driven, as you’ll be helping the company meet and achieve our ambitious targets by creating and converting leads. You will ideally have a background within the EdTech, SaaS sector and previous library sales experience.
Job Purpose:
To sell the Quartex platform into North American libraries, archives and museums. Proactively identify sales opportunities and contact prospective customers, manage long-term sales cycle in conjunction with Quartex Product Specialist and negotiate with buyers. Support end-users and administrative decision makers by conducting product demonstrations. Work closely with Quartex Product Specialist to handle technical questions and demonstrations and move opportunities to close.

Provide administrative support for the Vice President & General Counsel (GC) and Senior Corporate Counsel including limited support as requested by the GC in relation to planning and calendar coordination of travel, meetings and events; assistance with correspondence and documentation; general filing; processing of expense reports; management and coordination of projects and other matters as assigned by the GC. A high level of discretion is required as this position routinely deals with highly confidential and sensitive information and a diverse group of external parties as well as internal contacts at all levels of the Company.
